The Chevening Scholarships are the UK government's global scholarship program, funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and partner organizations. The scholarship was awarded to Hajara Kabeer, a Nigerian graduate with a first-class degree in Petroleum and Gas Engineering, to pursue her master's degree in the United Kingdom.

Applicants should have obtained a first-class or upper second-class degree. Active involvement in professional activities such as the Society of Petroleum Engineers International, technical writing, internships in relevant fields, and participation in skills development programs are valued. Nigerian nationals and other nationalities are eligible.
